Our graphic and web design process is structured to ensure our clients receive the highest quality service. We will work with you every step of the way to tailor designs to meet your needs specifically. Every job that comes in, from a single business card project to a full-scale marketing campaign, gets handed over to one of our dedicated account managers. This account manager will become your single-source of contact between yourself and the design, from start to finish, so you'll never have to deal with multiple people in the process and get confused.
The first step in our business engagement is to lay out mutual expectations and price out a formal quote. We will provide you with a quote that is clear and comprehensive so that both parties know what to expect as the project moves forward. Being clear, concise and competent is especially important for the larger, more complex projects. Depending on the size of the project the account manager will include as much information as possible about project specifications in a statement of work. Once you have a chance to review and approve the quote, and before we begin work on design, your account manager will request a deposit. This amount is specifically up to 70% of total project cost, and is negotiated prior to production.
The key to a successful project is good communication. Before we design anything, your account manager will communicate with you so they may understand the project requirements and the full project scope. Collecting necessary and relevant information is essential for a design that will be effective and memorable, so depending on the type of project and nature of complexity any or all of the following will be discussed:
Whether there are any specifics (colours, fonts, images, etc.) you want incorporated into your design, or samples of other work that you particularly like (such as a brochure of your competitor's product or a website that has the exact menu options you're looking for) this would be the time to let us know. If there are certain things you definitely do not want (certain images, layouts, colour schemes, etc.) then those must be communicated as well. Collecting this information and any other ideas from our clients helps our working relationship to grow and ensures that the design process runs smoothly. It also helps to ensure that the client is perfectly satisfied with the process and with the results at every step of the way and any issue is addressed accordingly.
The account manager relays the details to design team and they begin work on your concept. During this time as the design is taking form, your account manager may update you on work being done or ask you a few questions for clarification and to ensure the design matches your specific requirements.
Depending on the project and what was agreed to in the terms of the quote, the account manager will provide one to three concepts for feedback. You will have time to review the concept and suggest any changes you would like to see incorporated into your designs. Fonts, colours, layout, copy, and image modifications should be clearly communicated. This ensures the account manager can relay changes to the design team and the process can continue.
There will be a total of three rounds of revisions per client.
Once the project has been completed and approved we move on to the next step, delivery. If the project was for design only, your account manager will provide you with the final electronic files. If printing was involved we co-ordinate the printing and delivery of all your printed materials.
Once the project is complete and printed materials have arrived, your account manager will send you an electronic invoice. Our payment terms are 5 days from the date issuance of the invoice.
By following this 4 step process we can ensure quality service, excellent designs, happy and loyal customers.
